Technical Content Writer

As Technical Content Writer on the Centra team, you will use your pen and strong writing skills to create content that generates measurable awareness for Centra amongst key audiences. We’re looking for a creative professional, wanting to take command and help us shape our long-term content marketing strategy by writing content that establishes Centra as a leader in the e-commerce software industry, while communicating our company’s successes and drives SEO.

You will collaborate with team leaders across the Centra organization to create high quality content that appeals and engages our target audience in the top, middle and bottom of our content marketing funnel. You will use your understanding of business and technology to research topics in detail. You will sometimes work on larger projects to create large amounts of SEO content related to a specific topic. You will also create white-papers, create content that supports product launches and new releases, announce exciting new partnerships and sales, and create industry-specific thought leadership campaigns.

You need to be confident in your skills as you will be doing hands-on work from the get-go. We believe that you have a background from an agency, an in-house marketing team within tech/e-commerce and/or a proven track record as a freelance writer. We expect you to have native English writing skills.

You will be producing content bridging business and technology topics in the e-commerce space. Therefore it is critical that you have a strong interest in how software and technology is used to create business value. 

At Centra, we look for self-starting team players who are capable of self-managing and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Research relevant topics and create on-site and off-site content
  • Contribute to our content strategy together with the rest of the team
  • Educate the industry on who we are and what we’re up to
  • Write, develop and edit content for newsletters and internal communications
  • Manage and create content for Centra’s social media platforms
  • Stay informed on business and technology trends within e-commerce

Qualifications

  • You're dual-minded: You’re creative and an excellent writer but you can work process-driven and rely on SEO analysis and other data to make decisions
  • An avid interest and understanding for software and business
  • Solid understanding of the implications of SEO for content
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or other relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • A mastery of the English language is key – especially written
  • A proven track record of generating high-quality written content

It’s a plus if you…

  • Have experience from SaaS B2B-marketing
  • Have e-commerce experience

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify trending topics and issues with a defined point of view
  • A genuine interest in business and tech
